How are race spots allocated?
The Allgäu Triathlon sells out fast every year. We want everyone to have a fair chance: the quick ones at their computer as well as everyone who can't be online at the crucial moment. That's why there are two ways to get your race spot. We allocate half of the spots for each distance on a "first come, first served" basis, and the other half through a lottery.

How does "first come, first served" work?
Registration opens on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, at 1:00 pm. 50% of the spots for each distance are allocated in the order registrations come in. If you register while spots are still available, you're in straight away and receive your registration confirmation immediately.

What happens if there's a big rush when registration opens?
If demand is high, you'll land in a waiting room first. Stay cool, be patient and don't reload the page. You'll be forwarded automatically as soon as it's your turn.

How does the lottery work?
We raffle off the remaining 50% of spots for each distance. You can enter the lottery from Thursday, 8 October, 8:00 am, until Sunday, 11 October 2026, 11:59 pm.

Do I have a better chance if I enter the lottery early?
No. When you enter during this period makes no difference. In the lottery, speed doesn't count.

When will I find out whether I've won a spot in the lottery?
We draw the race spots on Monday, 12 October 2026. From around 2:00 pm, we'll notify everyone who entered the lottery by email, whether they got a spot or not.
